Comments: We were referred to Dr Haridas after we received news about our daughter that no parent wants to hear. I called to make our appointment, the staff was friendly, helpful, and got our appointment quickly. They gave me instructions on what needed to be sent in order for Dr Haridas to review her case. We were very anxious as we sat in the exam room, then he came in and instantly our nerves were calmed. He has a presence about him that is warm and kind. He answered all of our questions, spoke directly to our daughter and explained in detail so she would fully understand. He gave us all the information we needed and told us to go home, talk with each other and make a decision. He did not push us, he wanted us to be sure and comfortable we were making the right decision for our daughter. Her malformation was significant in size, which made us very uneasy. We knew the risks, but we felt his approach out weighted them. She was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation measuring 18 mm, he performed a posterior fossa decompression so the bone could be removed from pressing against the back of her skull and spine. The day of surgery he spoke in length with us , going over any last minute questions we had, and of course making sure our daughter was ready. He appeared in the waiting room about four hours after surgery started, he explained how wonderful she did, and he was able to successfully perform her case. He checked on us everyday we were in the hospital- each time with the same warm, kind spirit. He spoke with our daughter about her “sloth” the stuffed animal she took to the OR with her, and he still asked about it at our post op visit! He saved our little girl, to us he is a godsend. His talent is unbelievable, but his personality is something to be admired. He was made to be in this profession! We will forever sing his praises!!!!!
